Chumash: Korach, Shevi'i with Rashi.
Tanya: Ch. 8. Now, what (p. 321)...of the life-force. (p. 325).
In reviewing the weekly Parsha, twice the text and once the Targum Onkelos, we review verse by verse.
We also review the Haftora; two, in case of Shabbat-Rosh Chodesh or combined Parshiot, etc.
The Alter Rebbe's response to a young genius, famed for his intellectual gifts, at his first Yechidus in 5555 (1795) in Lyozna:
"Spiritual and physical are antithetical in their very essence. A superior quality in the physical is a deficiency in the spiritual.
In material matters, one who is "satisfied with his lot" is an individual of the highest quality. A person possessing this trait will, through Avoda, attain the highest levels.
In spiritual matters, however, to be satisfied with one's lot is the worst deficiency, and leads, G-d forbid, to descent and falling.
